Watched Ocean's Thirteen with HOHO ying yesterday after her medical checkup. George Clooney just reeks of charisma, haha. Draggy at first, but great in the middle and the end. Very very smart plot. Anyway Hoying, Serene logic = accurate logic k. Hmph. Anyway saw quite a few nice stuff to buy at Tampines Mall..... heh heh. The lure of GSS.Today I finally met up with Siti and Tiffany Su as well at J8! Dang - what a place to meet up... reminds me of PL days. Then went to AMK library which was such a dumb idea because we should have gone to the brand new Bishan library instead! Bleah, travel all the way down might as well visit the new library right, haaa. And on the way home I bumped into CGH's HR secretary and had a chat home on the bus.. felt nice and a 'lil nostalgic to see someone from CGH since I left like... 2 months ago? LOL. I wanna go back to work but don't have the time to...
Just viewed SMU/ academic calendar - Hmm well I start school 20 Aug and week break 8 Oct then exams 26 Nov and weeeee holidays 3 Dec - 6 Jan. Short semester huh? But think its going to be PACKED. I'm excited yet very scared for uni to start..
Ok tomorrow I'm going to make use of the new squash racket that I got.... hopefully the lazy bug doesn't get me first, muahah.
If you didn't even bother, why should I? =/

Going back to my ching chong roots - I found this song really really nice.

A whole array of emotions hit me today.Pain, disappointment, helplessness.. then numbness.
Regret - that I've not done anything, even if it means to nag or appear like a goody-two-shoes, when I've first found out that she's gone astray. Now that it has come to such a point, there is no turning back time to make the wrong right again. But thinking back, the only person who can help the situation is herself. The one making the decision is her, and the one who's in control is her. But still - I should have done more. :( Perhaps this wouldn't have happened if I did something to wake her up....
Oh well I guess it's no use raking up the past.
I can feel the distance between us is growing further and further... is this how it's going to end?

This evening I visited Tampines Regional Library in search for Haruki Marukami or Marilyn Todd books but to no avail. And I would keep hanging around the MUR and TOD sections just to check if anyone or the librarian has put in a new book there, I would go back there so many times I think the people who are sitting around those sections must be very irritated with my pacing around them. Urgh, Tampines library has a very limited variety of books :( so next time I'm going to try Bedok, Pasir Ris or Marine Parade. Maybe the National library too, haven't been there for a long time - but I think I'll be going there often when I start school at SMU since it's so nearby, heh.Anyway, visiting TRL today was very nostalgic. Seeing so many teenagers studying/doing homework/checking handphones/listening to music at the study tables and flipping through their notes and practising mathematical sums really brought back memories of my mugging for the prelim exams and A'levels... Reminiscing the constant search of an empty table (preferably in the corner of the room); but in the end always having to share tables with teenage couples or uncles reading newspaper in the middle of the room -.- I can remember feeling their stares on me when I take out my maths or chem TYS and calculator/periodic table from my bag and trying very hard to ignore them and focus on my work. Not an easy feat. I remember feeling very frustrated over 3D trigo and tearing out foolscap after foolscap paper because I couldn't stand my untidy scribbling. Wah... damn nostalgic man. Today I kept glancing into the same room I always studied in and tried to imagine me as one of those students studying haha gosh. (: It seemed like just yesterday....... but it has been over 6 months ago o.O Just another reminder of how time FLIES.
And it's Friday already!!! Primary, secondary schools, polytechnics and JCs are reopening next Monday already....... lucky for me mine opens in August, ha.

Medical checkup in the morning at the airport Raffles Medical Clinic (why must SMU be sooooo different?!) because the Tampines branch is fully booked until July - and that's Matriculation day already and GST hiked up to 7%. So must hurry do now..SO, I stupidly went to the toilet before the checkup. -.- Which resulted me in spending half an hour in the toilet drinking tap water because there is NO pee for the urine test, LOL. So embarassing, the x-ray guy had to call me on my handphone to check if I'm alright because the chest x-ray was next. The height-and-weight guy also commented 'You in the toilet so long ah?'; and when he was measuring my height he went 'So cute, 152.7cm' -.-||| Then when had to lie on the bed to let the doctor check my tummy, I climbed the small chair beside the bed to get onto it and he was like 'Eh got stair one, no need to climb the chair' and pulled out a staircase from under the bed. GOSH. One medical checkup can have so many stupid moments. But nvm, these can be lessons for those who haven't gone for the checkup:
1. Don't go toilet before checkup.
2. Don't climb chairs - look for stairs instead.
3. Cannot be short. (ahh but that can't be helped :( )
Anyway this is my first time doing chest x-ray. COOL! Have to wear a really long gown which swept the floor whenever I walk, ha. See I help to clean the clinic..
Then at evening met up with Clarissa at the airport and had heart-to-heart talk. :D She even went to the carpark to scream. But I still Love her. Went home at 1030pm - and the weather is freaking humid now, perspired when walking from Eastpoint to my home. That seldom happened at night during January to March period! :(
Interesting stuff about the people/lifestyle in US/Canada:
1. Everywhere you go you see babies, babies and MORE babies! They really love to make families and children.. unlike Singaporeans
2. Everyone, absolutely EVERYONE stands on the right side of the escalator and lets people in a hurry go up/down the left side - not the same situation in S'pore... hmm.
3. They are VERY good jaywalkers, even when the green man is about to be on, they STILL jaywalk no matter what
4. GST up to 7% we complain already. Over there their GST is 17%, and in restaurants/eating places that's WITHOUT tips - tips is usually an extra 10%
5. They automatically throw away their rubbish and put back their foodtrays after eating at fastfood restaurants or food courts. Note: automatically
6. They LOVE the grass (like me! but not in Singapore) Everywhere that has at least a patch of grass - you'll see people lying, suntanning, sitting, picnic-ing, lazing there. In Singapore if we do that we'll have major ant/caterpillar/worm/disgusting insect attacks
7. Their sweepers, waiters and toilet cleaners are surprisingly all local angmohs! And they are young and goodlooking ones too....... I remember one looking like Josh Groban o.O
Alright, very tired now. Zzz time!

This is very random but just wanna recap how many injuries I've accumulated since I left Singapore for US/Canada...1. My left ankle sprained TWICE, once in Victoria and the other in San Francisco - ironically both are my favourite stopovers. (haiyah, what's new - I still remember that time in TPJC when walking down the stairs I carried Vera's shoebag and could actually sprain my ankle like that -.-)
2. A burnt gash along my right shin. Because I was ironing on the hotel bed and accidentally swiped the iron against my shin... that was in New York I think because the hotel doesn't have a proper iron board! I think it's going to leave a scar... :(
3. Now a skin tear on my right index finger because of the very ancient badminton racket.
Ok that's all.... going out soon - will upload London pictures at night!
/EDIT
Not going to upload by blogger anymore because it's a HASSLE - so just click on Captured Moments on the left sidebar for my favourite shots of the whole trip (:

Finally I'm BACK! And officially blogging again... The weather in Singapore is so, SO humid! For the 51 days I was away I didn't sneeze at all even though the weather was cold, but the moment I reach Singapore my sinus comes back. Been sneezing really bad of late, but I still went to play badminton and swim. My stamina for swimming sucks now. :(Alright it's time to settle all the university stuff - medical checkup, freshman booklet, tuition grant application etc. And so glad to have found more people who are going to SMU/ accountancy like Huiqi! My secondary 1&2 classmate whom I haven't seen in AGES.. And yay she's interested in joining diving too! Ho ying, ho ying... hurry come back from Shanghai and tell me what cca you're interested in joining ;P
Ok on a random note, everyone should join Facebook!!! Go go! Ha.. photo quality is better there than friendster I think, lol.
Argh, can't seem to upload photos on blogger. Oh well I'll try uploading the photos of London (the 2nd most expensive city in the world -.-) tomorrow!
Sorry to S06 for missing the latest gathering :( Was too jet-lagged and biological clock was screwed up.... couldn't sleep at night and sleepy in the morning -.- Anyway hope to meet up soon before school starts! Though it's getting really really difficult to find a date when we're all free... I really miss you guys!
